It Ain’t Easy Being Me.

Stowaways

It ain’t easy raising 2 baby girls. They melt your heart. When I was in Atlanta on business for 3 weeks, Miah was on the phone asking me why I couldn’t come home and get something to eat, and then get back on the airplane. Sometimes when I’m on my way to work they hand me Teddy bears. Since they can’t go with me the Teddy can keep me company. So I ride around with a box full of toys. Once they were going through diapers like they were toilet paper, and now they are potty trained, and going through toilet paper like it was, well toilet paper. A wise man once said “money is only paper – but you can’t wipe your butt without some. ” and they haven’t even discovered Victoria’s Secret yet. Daddy should’nt have to pay for lingerie …

Individualality

The differences in ‘tude are starting to mount.
Maliah prefers to have her hair hang down in her face (bangs) she calls them.
Miah likes to have her hair pulled back and out of her way.

Both girls like some milk before bedtime. Instead of the traditional milk and cookies,  they prefer bread. Miah wants a little butter on her bread. Maliah prefers peanut butter and jelly .

I passed on a terrible DNA trait to Miah. You may not have known that I had this affliction, because I have never complained publicly and the Doctor has no answers,  but both me and now poor Miah – tend to fall out of bed. 🙂

Today in LA

Today we stripped all of the streamers from the handle bars of our bikes and tried to paint each one with water colors.

You’ve made mistakes, too…
Here. Have a fresh cherry, and smile.

The First Movie in 3 Years

Miah and Maliah finally reached an age of maturity that allows them to “almost” sit still for an entire movie.

They were begging to see “The LORAX”, but eventually they got bored and started climbing the walls. Maybe they prefer a good Terminator movie like daddy.

Anyway. We will try again soon. At least they were not crying and screaming like some of those rude children 🙂

Actually I’m wrong. We have seen a movie since the girls were born. “We saw Benjiman Buttons” while Mommy was still with child, and then we left them with Granny and took Aunt Alma and Aunt Cronicle to see “Precious”. What a treat that was.

What’s New…

imageGuess what?
Suddenly, we can reach the ice and water dispenser on the refrigerator. Now we can spend many a fun filled minutes, filling up a cup full of ice, and pouring it into the sink to make room for more ice.
Life is fun.
