No sleep for Daddy laat night. We were both restless and active. We tag teamed him. As soon as somebody went to sleep, and his head hit the pillow, somebody else would wake up. Now he’s hiding in the man cave, reading his book and doing stuff on his smartphone. Lets go knock on the door.

I’m already being nagged by two year olds about the age old debate concerning the up or down status of the toilet seat.
I told them that this is the mens bathroom – so keep the door closed and keep out. 🙂

This is special. The other day, we were in the car, on our way to pick up Mommy. Miah was asking for something in “2 baby speak”, so I had no clue. To me it sounded like she was saying “I want gonnie mean“. I learned that it had something to do with the radio, because she got more animate when I turned the volume up and down. Maliah was also saying the same thing, and the more time went by, the more insistent they became. They were screaming, and shouting, Miah was starting to cry.
Finally Mommy got in the car, and somehow, through the process of elimination, or good Mommying, she determined that what they were actually saying was “I want The GOD in me! Although she now knew what they were saying, she had no clue why they were saying it.
Well, that’s my job. As Captain of the ship, I am also the head DJ, in charge of entertainment, climate control, and music programming. I can’t say when was the last time that I played disc 3 on my 6 disc changer, but I did know that the 7th song on disc 3 was Mary Mary, singing “It’s The GOD in Me”. Problem solved. They were ecstatically happy, and actually sang along with the record. When the song faded into a heathanistic, secular rendition of music by Jamie Fox, they both said, “GOD in Me is Gone, Daddy”, so I hit the rewind button, and all was well again.
Now they routinely request the tune, and once it plays, they make me replay it over and over and over and over again. It’s their favorite song, and certainly increases my faith.
